May 14, 2025 at 6 PM ET: Hearing to Receive Comments on Draft Title V Permit
The Kentucky Division for Air Quality has scheduled a virtual public hearing on May 14, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time. This hearing will be held to receive comments on the draft Title V permit for Kentucky Municipal Energy Agency Energy Center I in Columbia, KY. Please note: This hearing will be canceled if no one requests to attend it. To request the public hearing, send an email to AIRKentucky@ky.gov before the close of business on May 9, 2025. It is not necessary to attend the public hearing to make public comment; written comments may be submitted directly to Michelle McCloskey at 300 Sower Blvd., 2nd Floor, Frankfort, KY 40601 or via email to AIRKentucky@ky.gov. May 22, 2025 at 10 AM ET: Public Hearing Regarding 2008 Ozone NAAQS Proposed Second 10-Year Maintenance Plan for the KY Portion of the Cincinnati-Hamilton, OH-KY-IN Maintenance Area
The Kentucky Division for Air Quality (Division) will conduct a virtual public hearing on May 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time). This hearing will be held to receive comments on Kentucky’s proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision satisfying the 2008 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) second 10-year maintenance plan requirements for the Kentucky portion of the Cincinnati-Hamilton, OH-KY-IN area (the Area). The draft SIP shows that the Kentucky portion of the Area has maintained attainment for the 2008 8-hour ozone NAAQS and will continue to do so through the second maintenance period, i.e. 2037.
In accordance with 40 CFR 51.102, the Division is making this proposed SIP revision available for public inspection and is providing an opportunity for public comment. The public comment period will be open from April 15, 2025, through May 22, 2025. Comments should be submitted in writing to the contact person, below, by either mail or email. Written comments must be received by May 22, 2025, to be considered part of the public record.
