Leitchfield 20-year Regional Facilities Plan
Leitchfield Utilities Commission, 515 South Main Street (P.O. Box 398), Leitchfield, KY 42755 has drafted a 20-year Regional Facilities Plan (RFP) containing wastewater requirements for collection and treatment of sanitary sewers in the Planning Area (PA) to be served, and the approximate costs, to provide these serves. Interested citizens may obtain further information by examining a draft RFP by contacting Dwight Embry, Utilities Superintendent, at the above given address or calling (270) 259-4034 to schedule a time to review the draft RFP during normal business hours (7:00 am to 4:00 pm CST). A public hearing will be held at the Leitchfield City Hall, 515 South Main Street, Leitchfield, KY 42755 on June 13, 2024 at 6:00 pm CST.
Draft 2024 303(d) List and 2022-2032 303(d) Prioritization Framework, 60-day comment period open
The Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) has opened a 60-day comment period on the draft 2024 303(d) list of impaired waters as required by KRS 224.70-150. Accompanying this public notice is a draft of Kentucky’s 2022-2032 303(d) and Impaired Waters Prioritization Framework, also open for public comment. Comments received by email or mail must be dated or postmarked no later than June 15, 2024. Please see the announcement or website for information on how to comment. For KPDES individual permits, other wastewater permits, Water Quality Certifications, and FONSIs the public notice will close 30 calendar days from the date of posting.
