The KHLCF bought portion (approximately 123 acres) is an addition to their larger park, Logan Hubble Memorial Park (approximately 376 acres). The park is located on the Garrard Lincoln County Lines with the majority of acreage on the Lincoln County side. Amenities include a lake, fishing, campgrounds, horse trails, park shelter rentals, playgrounds, sand volleyball court, basketball court, disc golf course (under construction), and 2 miles of established hiking trails with more in the making. This property contains a three natural communities including calcareous mesophytic and sub-xeric forest. Commonly found in these communities are sugar maple (Acer saccharum), red oak (Quercus rubra), Ohio buckeye (Aesculus glabra), bitternut hickory (Carya cordiformis), (Asimina triloba), spicebush (Lindera benzoin), blue ash (Fraxinus quadrangulata), hop hornbeam (Ostrya virginiana), rusty blackhaw (Viburnum rufidulum), hop hornbeam (Ostrya virginiana, white bear sedge (Carex albursina), ebony spleenwort (Asplenium platyneuron), and white snakeroot (Ageratina altissima). A small portion of the property borders the Dix River and includes important Riparian forest habitat. Disturbed open grasslands support a variety of native grasses and forbs that in turn provide habitat for over 75 species of moths and butterflies surveyed on the property.
