Cyber Security Workshop

​​​​​​​​​Kentucky Cybersecurity Workshop: From Risk to Readiness

The Energy and Environment Cabinet’s Office of Energy Policy, with support from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) and the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), will host the 2026 Kentucky Cybersecurity, Risk to Readiness Workshop on April 7, 2026, in Frankfort, Kentucky. 

This one-day workshop will bring together state energy leaders and decision-makers, private industry, and federal partners and provide the knowledge, tools, and actionable resources necessary to advance cybersecurity planning in Kentucky. 

Participants will: 

  • Examine mitigation cyber risks to critical infrastructure sectors, including electricity, liquid fuels, water and wastewater, and telecommunications in Kentucky.
  • Explore roles, responsibilities, and resources that state agencies and federal partners bring to bear in preventing, preparing for, and responding to cyber incidents.
  • Identify ways to support the integration of cybersecurity into energy security and resilience planning, funding programs, and regulatory engagement.
