Coordinates the activities of the department's Environmental Response Team (ERT). This team is trained to respond immediately to environmental emergencies such as accidents where hazardous materials may have been spilled.
The Field Operations Branch includes one central office and ten regional offices. Staff within each office are familiar with the local waste management issues and can respond to your questions and concerns.

The Solid Waste Branch is responsible for processing permit applications, reporting documents, and fees for various types of waste management and disposal facilities.
The Superfund Branch is charged with protecting human health and the environment from the release of hazardous substances, petroleum pollutants, or other contaminants into the environment.
The Underground Storage Tank Branch regulates the prevention, abatement, and control of contaminants in regulated USTs that may threaten human health, safety, and the environment.
