Submit a Complaint​ Online

The DEP Complaint Form allows you to submit your environmental complaint anonymously to the Department for Environmental Protection. You do not have to give your name or contact information, but you may want to provide that information if you want to follow-up about the complaint. This form is only for complaints, and not for notifications of releases or environmental emergencies. ​To report an environmental emergency, 800-928-2380.

EEC ​Data eSearch

The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet is committed to providing public access to environmental information. Our agency believes that keeping citizens informed enhances achievement of our goal of environmental protection.  EEC's eSearch​ provides a comprehensive view of EEC's regulated community (agency interests) and their activities, by allowing the public access to information about permitting and compliance activities within the scope of environmental protection.

​​​Electronic Forms (eForms)

EEC eForms provides an online means to submit some forms that had previously been paper-based. First-time users can register by clicking the ‘Please Sign In’ button in the top-right of the eForms portal and then selecting ‘Register’ from the drop-down menu. For more information, contact Compliance Assistance at envhelp@ky.gov or 502-782-6189. Examples of electronic submittals through eForms include:

​​Electronic Submittals (ePortal)

The ePortal is designed to facilitate submittal of routine notifications and electronic documents online. A routine notification involves a release of pollutants or contaminants into the environment that do not cause imminent danger to the human health or environment.  Documents submitted through this portal may be any type of electronic file, e.g. data files, reports, or other documentation required under a permit, certification, or contract, including:

  • Air, Drinking Water or Wastewater Notifications
  • eDocs for MORs, Lab Results, WET Documents, Pretreatment Submittals, etc.
  • DAQ Web Survey (Emissions Inventory)
  • Water Withdrawal Reporting
