​About Adkisson Greenbelt Park

The Adkisson Greenbelt Park is a 16.5 miles park wrapping around the city  of Owensboro that connects neighborhoods, parks, schools, and local hotspots. With its smooth, 10-foot-wide asphalt paths, it’s perfect for walking, running, biking, or even skating like a pro. Fully ADA accessible, it’s designed for everyone to enjoy. Trails are open dawn to dusk.

Creek bank vegetation is typical and dominated by sycamore, black cherry, green ash, cottonwood, and silver maple.  Several small ponds are located in the Greenbelt.
