A permit conference will be held July 21, 2025, from 5 - 7 p.m. Eastern time to allow public comment on the proposed amendment application for the Drakes Creek Quarry in Simpson County. The meeting will be held in person at the:

The purpose of the conference is to allow those who are interested the opportunity to provide oral or written statements or relevant information to the Department of Natural Resource, Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement regarding a proposed amendment to the permit application (Permit Number 107-9401) submitted by Volunteer Materials of Kentucky, LLC for the Drakes Creek Quarry.
